St. Camillus Campus Expansion TIA

Location: 10101 W. Wisconsin Ave., Wauwatosa, WI
TADI's Role: Prepared a TIA report to determine the traffic and pedestrian impacts of the St. Camillus Campus Expansion.

St. Camillus expanded its campus north of Bluemound Road in Wauwatosa in a two-phase plan. The first phase included a new community center, a 72-unit assisted living building specializing in dementia, and a 50-unit Jesuit Community. The second phase included a new 18-story tower with 169 independent living units adjacent to the San Camillo building. The tower facilities will include a clinic, outpatient therapy, pool and fitness center to service mainly residents with some general public use. The new buildings constructed in phases one and two replace existing buildings with 138 skilled nursing and assisted living beds.

TADI prepared a traffic impact study report to determine the net new number of trips for both the phase one and phase two developments proposed on site. TADI evaluated the traffic impacts to access points and intersections surrounding the campus along both Wisconsin Avenue and Bluemound Road. TADI also evaluated the impacts that the additional units on site may have on the existing pedestrian hybrid beacon system across Bluemound Road, near the entrance to the Milwaukee County Zoo.

Project tasks included:

• Data collection and Traffic Modeling
• Trip Generation and Traffic Assignment
• Signal warrant studies
• Vehicular and pedestrian analysis
• Pedestrain Hybrid Beacon Evaluation
• Traffic control and lane recommendations
