TADI worked with the Village of Pleasant Prairie and the development team to determine access points/development roadway locations and intersection and roadway improvements for the Prairie Highlands Corporate Park of 356 acres, which also includes the Haribo candy manufacturing facility. TADI evaluated initial and ultimate buildout traffic impacts for this large corporate park development. TADI worked closely with WisDOT, Kenosha County, the Village of Pleasant Prairie for truck routing and vehicular access during the TIA process.
Due to the significant amount of both truck traffic and automobile traffic expected at full buildout of both this development and the surrounding lands (i.e. ULine to the south and potential industrial development to the west), the TIA addressed access options, roadway layout options, development access options along with addressing cross-sections and future signalized intersection locations. The following tasks were performed:
• Data collection
• Trip generation, distribution and assignment
• Close coordination with WisDOT, Kenosha County, Village of Pleasant Prairie
• Analysis of various buildout options
• Analysis of phasing of improvements
• SYNCHRO analysis and modeling
• Recommended improvements per development phase
• TIA Report (approved)
• Signal Designs
