Grafton STH 60/N. Port Washington Road Traffic

Location: STH 60/N. Port Washington Road, Grafton, WI
TADI's Role: Conduct Traffic Impact Analysis

The Village of Grafton experienced significant traffic volume generation with the development of the Costco Commercial Site (Costco, Best Buy, Kohls, Dicks Sporting Goods, Aldi, Pet Smart, Banks and restaurants), adjacent to a Target/Home Depot/Office Max/Charcoal Grill Restaurant, plus other new development consisting of an Aurora Hospital just west of the Costco site, and other commercial and residential development. TADI conducted an extensive Traffic Impact Analysis for this area, which included the STH 60 corridor from I-43 to Cheyenne Avenue and N. Port Washington Road from Hunters Lane to Arrowhead Road (north of the Costco site).  As a result of the Traffic Impact Analysis, TADI also designed traffic signal installation plans for the STH 60 intersections with the I-43 northbound ramps, I-43 southbound ramps, CTH W, Dakota Drive and the CTH W intersections with the main Costco driveway and the shared Home Depot/Target driveway. TADI also developed and implemented traffic signal progression timing plans for the coordination of the traffic signals to enhance traffic flow through the area.
